I use the patterns of the dragonfly wing as a framework for a study of color interactions. Each layer of paint changes the surface colors and creates new relationships. Like the evolution of the dragonfly from nymph to adult, the painting evolves from the wing of the dragonfly to become an abstract painting. These paintings are about color.
