Brief Biography

 

REBECCA PAVLENKO is a photographer and scenic artist. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota with degrees in Studio Arts and Art History. Her work has been widely exhibited and is in the permanent collections of the Weismann Museum in Minnesota and the Mitsubishi Corporation in Japan. She has taught numerous classes and workshops and has served as a mentor in WARM’s Mentor/Protégé program as well as working with children in the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization. She has done over 500 portrait commissions and works part time as a scenic artist for the Guthrie Theatre. Her current photography work, Polaroid transfers of Japanese gardens and a series on meditation, grows out of her Zen practice and love of nature.
