The focus of my work is a concentration and exploration of metaphor as a
means to construct subtle and engaging psychological narratives. I create
from my own personal experiences as a source for ideas and concepts that are
relevant and meaningful to my spiritual growth. In the tradition of myth and
folklore, I conceive of metaphors that vividly express these elements and
thread them together into a new and graphic visual language. The result is a
poetic re-telling as the narrative takes on a life of its own, becomes
transformed and opens to a wider interpretation.
I reveal the universal within the individual using strategy of the mystic,
and explore the absurd tragedy of human life and society in a mixture of
autobiography, symbolism and philosophy.
